Color Trends This cooler season brings with it deeper, richer hues than we've seen in recent years. A look back, once again, to more traditional tones of earthy gold, rust, deep brown - focusing on celebrating the warmth of home and its comforts with less glamor and glitz. - Gray, ivory, sand and stone continue to be popular in the family of neutrals. Pair with a splash of color, or layer in varying tones of dark/light for dramatic effect.
- Teal blue has evolved into a steel blue for the cold weather months (beautiful with fall's earthy shades), while turquoise is still the year's top blue.
- Yellow is still very much "in", but warmed for autumn into winter.
- Deep chocolaty truffle - brown in the richest sense - is fabulous paired with the ever popular blues, especially the cooler steel blue.
- Brighter shades haven't gone away - use them for extra pop. Lipstick Red. Purple Orchid. Tropical Citrus. A little goes a long way.
Rich, warm, traditional shades - with an on occasional daring splash of something spicy. You'll feel right at home with this season's trends in color as you settle in for the cooler months ahead. |
